Filmmaker Rob DaFoe seems to carve out a place for himself wherever his interests lead him. The Santa Barbara native was at the top of his game as a professional snowboarder before turning to art and film. From “Ground to Glass” is his first feature film – in which he explores why people are compelled to become vintners and growers. Mr. DaFoe takes us along in a George Plimpton style journey into his winemaking experience that is warm, humorous and full of insights provided by an engaging cast of real people. It was featured recently at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and can be purchased at 15Degrees C in Templeton or at the Los Olivos Café.
