SYRAH SHOOTOUT PICTURES
The Hospice du Rhone Syrah Shootout is a blast. A shotgun blast of a wine tasting. Winemakers are allowed to submit one bottle of wine, it's a blind tasting, they have sixty minutes to swirl,sniff,taste,spit and vote on each of the wines. Then they all have a great lunch at Villa Creek and the winner is announced.
This year's winner is Christian Tietje and his Four Vines One Tree Hill Block Syrah. He took home the barrel award, a funky (yet hip) jacket (better than golf's green jacket) and the admiration of his peers.
