Chef Maegen Loring is a detail person blessed with huge amounts of taste and creativity. The traits will all come together and be enjoyed by hundreds of people over the next few days at 2009 Hospice du Rhone events.

Loring thinks as she works - using mindless tasks as a sort of kitchen meditation period. It turns out that the act of washing dishes yields many ideas. "I've washed a lot of dishes in the past few days," she says as she laughs. During that time she problem solves, thinks about flavors and then dries her hands and jots down more ideas in the big planning books that she meticuoulsy maintains.

Hers is no easy task. Hospice brings winemakers and wine lovers from all over the world. But it's clearly an honor for her and fun.
